Hostile countries that once aimed to deal Russia a strategic defeat on the battlefield in Ukraine are now focused on stopping the advance of Russian forces at any cost, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in response to journalists’ questions.
“Not long ago, our adversaries and ill-wishers talked about the need to deliver Russia a strategic defeat on the battlefield. Today, however, they have a single, burning goal — to stop our offensive by any means necessary. Whether through promises of a better life, threats, or by rearming and reinforcing the Ukrainian armed forces,” Putin stated.
The head of state added that these hostile actors want to halt Russian advances so they can concentrate on rearming and replenishing Ukraine’s military capabilities.
