Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin met with his Saudi counterpart, Abdulrahman Al-Rassi, in Moscow to discuss the current situation in the Gaza Strip, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.
The ministry stated that the meeting featured an “exchange of views on Middle Eastern issues, with a focus on the situation in the Gaza Strip.”
Both sides “spoke highly of the current level of Russia-Saudi interaction,” the statement continued. It further noted a “shared opinion in favor of the need for further progressive development of the entire complex of traditionally friendly bilateral relations,” including strengthening trade, economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.
The ministry also “emphasized the importance of continuing close coordination at the UN and other international organizations.”
