The relationship between Russia and the United Arab Emirates is rooted in a deep legacy of productive cooperation spanning more than half a century, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stated during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"The ties between the UAE and Russia rely on a deep legacy of fruitful collaboration that has continued for over 50 years," he said. "Our nations are linked by a partnership of sustainable cooperation across various sectors, including the economy, energy, investment, trade, and technology."
"We are committed to strengthening our relations with Russia and achieving the goals of our strategic partnership for the benefit of both countries," the UAE leader noted. He expressed confidence that the agreement on trade in services and investments signed last August, along with the free trade agreement between the UAE and the EAEU, will "further bolster cooperation between the UAE and Russia."
The UAE president arrived in Moscow on January 29 for his official visit. According to the Kremlin press service, the two heads of state are set to discuss the core pillars of Russia-UAE cooperation, the current situation in the Middle East, and other pressing items on the international agenda.
