The United Arab Emirates (UAE) welcomes the efforts of all international players to bring together the parties to the conflict in Ukraine and achieve peace, UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan said on Thursday at a press conference following talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
"We also discussed new aspects of the crisis in Ukraine, including efforts for a political settlement. In this regard, the UAE welcomes all mediation efforts by all active international players to bring the parties together and achieve peace on regional and international platforms," he said.
The UAE reiterated the need to intensify efforts to find humanitarian solutions and provide humanitarian aid in Ukraine for all those in need.
