Zakharova: After Terrorist Attack, US Bails Ukraine Out by Mentioning IS

25 March

Following the terrorist attack in Crocus, the United States is trying to bail Ukraine out by referencing the Islamic State (IS, banned in Russia) and  to cover itself and the Zelensky regime it created, as stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian MFA, in her column for kp.ru.

"American politicians have found themselves in a dilemma by attributing the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall to the banned terrorist organization ISIS (former name of IS - TASS)," - remarked the diplomat. - "This leads to Washington's persistent attempts to bail its Ukrainian wards out, along with the Zelensky regime they've created, by invoking the specter of the banned ISIS."

Zakharova highlighted several factors suggesting the involvement of current US authorities in sponsoring terrorism in Ukraine. These include substantial financial and arms support provided to the Kiev regime through corrupt means, aggressive anti-Russia rhetoric, promotion of nationalism, refusal to engage in peace talks, and tacit support for Zelensky's actions, regardless of their severity.

Additionally, Zakharova recalled past US interventions in the Middle East, which contributed to the emergence and strengthening of radical and terrorist groups in the region.

"What motivates these actions?" - she questioned. - "Money and power. Despite the legal constraints on direct intervention, there is a clear intention to sow 'controlled chaos' and reshape the global order through the hands of terrorists."

Zakharova concluded with a pointed query directed at the White House: "Are you sure it was ISIS? Won’t you change your mind later?"
