Russian Prosecutor General Urges Synchronization with Tajikistan to Combat Terrorism

25 July

Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov emphasized the importance of continued synchronization of efforts between Russia and Tajikistan to effectively combat extremism and terrorism during his meeting with Tajikistan's Prosecutor General Yusuf Rahmon.

Krasnov highlighted the established level of interaction between the two countries, which allows for open and confidential discussions on pressing issues and effective counteraction against modern challenges and threats.

He stressed the significant role of the prosecutor's office in countering extremism and terrorism, noting, "I consider it extremely important to continue synchronizing our common efforts to effectively combat this transnational threat." Krasnov also extended an invitation to Tajik prosecutors to participate in an expert event on combating terrorism and extremism, following agreements with Iranian colleagues.

Additionally, Krasnov suggested developing a new joint activities plan at the Interstate Council on Combating Corruption meeting in Dushanbe in September. He also invited Rahmon to participate in the Eastern Economic Forum scheduled for early September in Vladivostok.
