During a meeting with President Vladimir Putin at Novo-Ogaryovo, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas hailed Russia as one of Palestine’s closest allies.
"Russia is one of the dearest friends of the Palestinian people," Abbas stated. "Russia consistently stands on the side of truth," he added. Abbas expressed confidence that with Russia's support, Palestinians will be able to achieve their goals and establish an independent state.
