Farit Mukhametshin, Advisor to the Chairman of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia–Islamic World,” attended a meeting on October 28, 2025, between Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the Group, and members of the Tatarstan Community in Moscow. The gathering was held at the historic Pashkov House.
The meeting was chaired by Radik Akhmetshin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation.
Rustam Minnikhanov addressed the current priorities in the republic's economic and social policies, as well as Tatarstan's international activities. He emphasized that, in recognition of its international standing, the Republic has been honored with the title of the Cultural Capital of the Islamic World for 2026.
Speakers at the event praised Tatarstan's achievements both within the Russian Federation and on the international stage. Particular attention was drawn to the active work of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia – Islamic World.”
A member of the Group, Mufti Ravil Gaynutdin, Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of Russia, commended Minnikhanov's leadership as Head of Tatarstan and specifically highlighted the Chairman's contribution to establishing and strengthening contacts with member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. In a notable gesture, Mufti Gaynutdin presented Rustam Minnikhanov with the Russian Muslim community's highest award, the "Al-Fakhr" Order of Honor.
