The current Afghan authorities are doing their best to fulfill their promises to the international community, Acting Foreign Minister of Afghanistan's interim government, Amir Khan Muttaqi, said Tuesday.
"Afghanistan is ready and wants to have good relations with all countries, we have done everything to fulfill all the promises given to the international community, we have destroyed ISIS, unified Afghanistan, now it is a single country," Muttaqi said at the international conference "Afghanistan: Security and Economic Development" held in Tashkent.
The foreign policy chief of the Afghan Taliban (banned in Russia) government called on the United States to unfreeze Afghan assets frozen in foreign banks, which, he said, would be very positive for Afghanistan's economic recovery.
Muttaqi also noted that the country's authorities are ready to cooperate with all international humanitarian organizations and guarantee the safety of their representatives. "We want Afghanistan to become a peaceful and stable country," he noted. According to him, the current conference in Tashkent compares favorably with previous international forums on Afghanistan. "This is the first international conference that talks not about peace, but about solving the problems of socio-economic development of our country," Muttaqi explained.
