All invited participants of the consultations of the enlarged "troika" on the peaceful settlement in Afghanistan in Moscow on March 18 have confirmed their participation in the event, the Russian President's Special Representative for Afghanistan and Director of the Second Asia Department of the Foreign Ministry, Zamir Kabulov, told TASS on Friday, answering a related question.

"Yes, that's all for now," Kabulov said.

Asked whether US representatives would participate in the consultations, he said that US Special Representative for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad had also confirmed his participation.

On March 11, the State Department said it did not specify whether US officials would participate in the consultations on Afghanistan in Moscow.

On March 9, Kabulov told TASS that Russia had invited representatives of the Afghan government and the Taliban (banned in Russia), as well as Afghan politicians, to consultations of the extended "troika" of the United States, China, and Pakistan. On the previous day, Qatar Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al-Thani said at a joint press conference with Russian and Turkish Foreign Ministers Sergei Lavrov and Mevlut Cavusoglu that Doha had received Russia's invitation to participate in a meeting on Afghanistan in Moscow.
