Russian Ambassador to Ashgabat Ivan Volynkin expressed confidence in the continued strengthening of friendly cooperation between Russia and Turkmenistan on a mutually beneficial, long-term basis, the Neytralny Turkmenistan newspaper reports.
During a meeting with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the Ashgabat airport, the ambassador highlighted the productive development of interstate relations based on principles of mutual respect, equality, and shared spiritual and moral values among the peoples of CIS countries.
Volynkin emphasized Russia's high regard for the fruitful relations with Turkmenistan, giving significance to the deepening of bilateral cooperation across political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. The ambassador stressed the existence of substantial potential for further enhancing productive ties in all key areas of collaboration.
