The ninth annual meeting of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia – Islamic World” will be held on May 16, 2024, at the IT Park named after Bashir Rameev in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation. The theme of the event is “Russia – Islamic World: Fair Multipolar World Order and Safe Development“.
The meeting will coincide with the International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum”, serving as the primary platform for economic interaction between Russia and Muslim states.
Discussions during the Group meeting on May 16, 2024, will focus on exploring new opportunities for cooperation between the Russian Federation and Muslim countries amidst the rapidly changing global political situation. Various current topics on the international agenda and new challenges at the international level will also be addressed. These discussions will necessitate a coordinated and balanced approach to shaping a fair multipolar world order and ensuring safe development.
This event aims to be a significant step in the development and deepening of dialogue between secular and religious organizations of Russia and the countries of the Islamic world. It will bring together government officials, political and religious leaders, with the goal of developing joint approaches and finding common strategies.
The meeting is expected to be attended by Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia – Islamic World” Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov, Chairman of the Committee of the Federation Council on International Affairs Grigory Karasin, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Magomedsalam Magomedov, as well as heads of Russian regions, public and political figures. Also expected to attend are President of the Directorate of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Ali Erbas, Chairman of the Higher Islamic Council of Algeria, Bouabdellah Gholamullah, and Director of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, Ezzat Saad. The meeting will also be attended by heads of foreign diplomatic missions, renowned scholars, and thinkers from the countries of the Islamic world.
