Azerbaijani Diplomat Confident in Strengthened Russia Ties After Elections

07 February

Polad Bulbuloglu, the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Moscow, expressed optimism that the alliance between Azerbaijan and Russia will deepen post-election. In an interview with TASS, he said notes that amid the upcoming Russian presidential elections in March, the February presidential campaign in Azerbaijan can provide valuable insights into organizing electoral processes.

Bulbuloglu continued, "I am absolutely convinced that the allied relations between Azerbaijan and Russia will not change, but rather, will be further developed. We simply need to await the completion of elections in both Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation. Our focus will then be on bolstering our allied relations."

He also expressed appreciation for the Russian Foreign Ministry "for creating 'all opportunities for the citizens of Azerbaijan to cast their vote today for the leader they will choose for the next seven years.'"

"I would like to extend my best wishes to the Russian Federation as it faces similar elections, hoping for a successful outcome," he added.
