Two patrol ships of the Azerbaijani Naval Forces (Navy) are on a visit to Russia. This was reported on Thursday by the press service of the republic's Ministry of Defense.
"In accordance with the plan of joint military activities between the defense ministries of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation, G-121 and G-129 patrol ships of the Azerbaijani Navy are on a visit to Russia," the report reads.
It is noted that the Russian Caspian Maritime Flotilla held a solemn ceremony of welcoming military sailors of Azerbaijan in the port of Kaspiysk. According to the defense ministry, the ships of the Azerbaijani Navy and their personnel will take part in a number of events.
