Director of the International Center for Military and Strategic Studies (Tunisia) Badra Gaaloul highly praised the activities of the Group of Strategic Vision (GSV, Group) during her participation in the XVI International Economic Summit “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum 2025” and the GSV meetings held within the framework of the forum on the topic "The experience of Russia and the Islamic world in the field of youth policy".
“We discussed many topics that are really in line with the strategic goals of the Group, given that it considers issues that concern almost 60% of the youth in the Islamic world today. By discussing such an important and unique topic, I was able to share ideas and talk about the Arab Youth Forum in Tunisia,” shared Ms. Gaaloul.
According to her, the purpose of the forum in Tunisia is to express positions and discuss topics related to Arab youth, since the majority of Arab youth are Muslims. Ms. Gaaloul also noted that the delegation from Tunisia proposed to start a strategic cooperation between the "Arab Youth Forum" and the Group.
“Frankly speaking, I have benefited greatly from the speeches. There were a total of 24 discussion sessions, during which the speakers presented very fruitful proposals and valuable ideas. This will certainly benefit the entire Group,” Ms. Gaaloul emphasized.
The director of the research center also noted that upon returning to their home countries, the participants of “KazanForum 2025” will definitely raise all the issues discussed here in order to achieve closer cooperation for the implementation of a specific strategic perspective between the Islamic world and Russia.
"I think, that today Russia is a giant that has defeated Nazism. By the way, I congratulate the Russian government and people on the 80th anniversary of Victory Day. Today it is no secret that Russia is fighting a new Nazism," said Ms. Gaaloul.
She also added that "Russia is opening its arms to the Islamic world and hosting so many Islamic figures here in Kazan, which is wonderful. We see this as progress and strengthening of strategic relations with other countries."
According to Ms. Gaaloul, the Islamic world really needs Russia because its youth has a unique experience. In particular, Tunisian youth wants to get closer to the Russian younger generation, to the Russian Islamic world and to Russia in general for greater mutual understanding and openness. Such cooperation will leave no room for global imperialist domination, unipolarity or hegemony.
"We see what the collective West has been doing since World War II and continues to do to this day. Today, we are witnessing a tense standoff with them in Palestine, where the blood of Palestinians is being spilled in a cold-blooded manner," Ms. Gaaloul said.
The Islamic world must protect its interests on all international platforms. However, as the director noted, “everyone knows the wise and balanced position of the Russian leadership on issues of the Islamic world, especially on the Palestinian issue.” In this regard, Gaaloul expressed hope to intensify bilateral relations and deepen ties, because Russia is a partner of the Islamic and Arab worlds.
"There is not much difference between Arab and Russian youth because they all share a common history and moral values. Russian youth is very open and strives to build strategic relations with the outside world. I believe that today the Eastern Pole is the youth of the Islamic and Arab worlds together with Russian youth," Ms. Gaaloul answered a question about the differences between young people.
According to her, Russia and the Islamic world adhere to common moral principles, strive for justice, humanity, and true morality: the values of Russian youth are very close to the values of Arab youth.
