Bangladesh approves Sputnik V vaccine for emergency use

The government of Bangladesh has approved Russia’s Sputnik V for emergency use. This was stated by The Daily Star local newspaper on Tuesday.

 

According to it, the country’s Drug Administration stated it would start importing the Russian vaccine for its further use.

 

Bloomberg had earlier reported that the first supplies of Sputnik V to Bangladesh were expected as early as may.

 

According to the latest data from the country’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the number of coronavirus cases in Bangladesh is 748 628. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 661 693 people have recovered and the number of deaths has reached 11 150.
