Bangladesh-based pharmaceutical company Orion Pharma has begun preliminary talks with the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) to acquire the technology to produce the Russian vaccine Sputnik V, Bloomberg agency reported on Wednesday.
According to its data, Orion Pharma intends to produce Sputnik V at its own plant.
On April 27, Bangladesh authorities approved the emergency use of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine. The Dhaka Tribune also previously reported that Bangladesh's government economic affairs committee had approved the health ministry's proposal to produce the Russian vaccine in the country.
