Blast in Kabul

An explosion occurred Wednesday morning in one of the districts of Kabul, Hasht-e Subh reports.


According to the newspaper, a vehicle exploded in the fifth district of the city, carrying the staff of the Ministry of Reconstruction and Agricultural Development of the radical Taliban movement (banned in Russia) that has seized power in Afghanistan. Details of the incident are being specified.


The Taliban have not yet commented on this information.


According to Al Jazeera, the explosion caused deaths and casualties, the number of which is not specified.


In recent months, a series of bombings, armed attacks and shootings have targeted both Taliban supporters and civilians in Afghanistan's provinces, including the capital region. The Islamic State in Khorasan, an offshoot of the terrorist organization Islamic State (IS, banned in the Russian Federation), has claimed responsibility for many of the diversions.
