Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov discussed the current situation in Yemen and the Persian Gulf zone with Saudi Arabian Ambassador Abdel Rahman al-Ahmad and UAE Charge d'Affaires Hamada al-Habsi on Wednesday.
"During the conversation, there was a confidential exchange of views on the key aspects of the development of the situation in the Middle East with a focus on the emerging situation in Yemen and the Persian Gulf zone," the Russian diplomatic office said in a statement.
The meeting was initiated by al-Ahmad and al-Habsi.
