The BRICS International Municipal Forum will convene in St. Petersburg from October 29-31, 2025, bringing together approximately 5,000 participants from more than 50 countries to develop sustainable development solutions, organizers told TASS.
The event will serve as a key gathering for mayors, governors, entrepreneurs, and international experts to showcase effective governance models and launch large-scale inter-municipal projects. In a new development for 2025, the conference will be held in synergy with the "Russian Industrialist" international forum and exhibition.
The forum's business program focuses on 15 practice-oriented tracks, including smart cities and digitalization, green transformation and sustainable development, municipal finance and investment, tourism development, and cultural heritage preservation. Special emphasis will be placed on developing business connections and strengthening international municipal cooperation through people-to-people diplomacy initiatives.
The conference aims to create concrete action plans while providing a unique platform for establishing long-term partnerships and sharing effective urban and regional development models.
The forum is organized with the Moscow Government as general partner, supported by the Federation Council, Russian Foreign Ministry, St. Petersburg Government, and major business associations, with TASS serving as general information partner.
