The transitional president of Burkina Faso, Ibrahim Traoré, has unveiled the country's new government just three days after the resignation of the previous cabinet. The announcement was made through a decree shared by the government’s press office on social media.
Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, a former journalist and previously the Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts, and Tourism, as well as the government spokesperson, has been appointed the new Prime Minister, replacing Apollinaire Joachim Kyélem de Tambèla.
Several key ministers retained their positions in the new cabinet, including Foreign Minister Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, Justice Minister Édasso Rodrigue Bayala, Security Minister Mahamadou Sana, and Economy Minister Aboubakar Nacanabo. General Célestin Simporé has been appointed the new Minister of Defense.
