Burkina Faso President Ibrahim Traore held a meeting with a Russian delegation led by Deputy Defense Minister Colonel General Yunus-Bek Yevkurov in Ouagadougou on August 31. The discussions focused on the current state and future prospects of military-technical cooperation. They also addressed topics that were raised during the meeting between the presidents of Burkina Faso and the Russian Federation at the second Russia-Africa summit in St. Petersburg in late July.
The head of the Russian delegation expressed Russia's commitment to supporting Burkina Faso's transitional authorities and the development of the country across various domains, as reported by the Burkinabe News Agency (BIA).
