Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, in a telephone conversation with his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, expressed China's readiness to collaborate with Saudi Arabia to prevent further escalation of conflict in the region, as stated by the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

"China values Saudi Arabia's commitment to resolving the issue through diplomatic channels. We stand prepared to work with Saudi Arabia to prevent further confrontation," Wang Yi remarked on the Chinese foreign ministry's website.

The Chinese foreign minister denounced the recent attack on the Iranian embassy in Syria as a "serious breach of international law." He also noted Iran's willingness to maintain good neighborly relations despite the escalation.

"In the current circumstances, the pivotal decision lies in either exacerbating the situation or restoring normalcy," emphasized Wang Yi.
