CIS Council of Heads of Government Scheduled for May 22 in Turkmenistan

The CIS Council of Heads of Government is set to take place on May 22 in Turkmenistan, according to a statement by Igor Petrishenko, the First Deputy Secretary General of the CIS.


"Today we will also approve the agenda for the Council of Heads of Government, which is scheduled to be held in the presiding state —Turkmenistan. For now, the preliminary date is May 22 of this year," he told reporters.


According to Petrishenko, the current agenda includes 11 items primarily focused on economic cooperation, convention and exhibition activities, transport corridors, and digitalization.


The discussions will also involve designating Minsk as the CIS Youth Capital for 2027 and Karaganda for 2028.


"Additionally, today we will hear a report on the implementation of the three-year plan to improve the CIS legal framework and outline our approaches for the next three-year period," he added.
