Cultural and humanitarian cooperation will be a priority during Russia's presidency in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). This announcement was made by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk following the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government.
"As we assume the presidency in the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2024, we have decided to prioritize the development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation. Recognizing its significance and the need to preserve the historical cultural ties between our countries, we aim to focus on this aspect," he stated.
"It's worth noting that economic ties among CIS member states are developing dynamically. Our trade between countries is growing, and all the member states demonstrate positive macroeconomic indicators," Overchuk added.
