Clashes Between Palestinians and Israeli Troops Erupt in Khan Younis Neighborhood

The Israeli Air Force conducted numerous airstrikes on Palestinian defense positions on the outskirts of Khan Younis, situated 20 km southwest of Gaza City. A spokesperson from the radical group Islamic Jihad reported this to the Lebanese TV channel Al Manar. According to the representative, intense clashes are underway between Palestinians and Israeli troops to the east and north of Khan Younis.

 

"Our fighters successfully targeted three enemy tanks, one armored personnel carrier, and a bulldozer," - the spokesperson for the radicals reported. - "Another armored vehicle was struck west of the Jabalia camp."

 

According to the representative, Palestinians are resisting advancing ground forces in the neighborhoods of Sheikh Radwan and al-Nasr in Gaza, as well as on a section of the Salah al-Din highway south of the city of Deir al-Balah.

 

In response, the Izzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, claimed they successfully targeted an Israeli tank and two armored personnel carriers north of Khan Younis, using Yassin-105 anti-tank shells. On Monday, the Israeli army command urged residents of Khan Younis to evacuate to the outskirts of Rafah on the border with Egypt, citing the unsafe conditions on the Salah al-Din road, which has become a war zone.
