On September 23–24, the Bolgar Islamic Academy hosted the scientific-practical conference “The Role of Interfaith Dialogue in the Patriotic Education of Youth” with international participation, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.
At the plenary session, a greeting was read from Marat Gatin, Deputy Chairman of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia – Islamic World” and Assistant to the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The conference was attended by over 35 delegates from Russia and neighboring countries, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. Among the participants were representatives of educational, religious and public organizations, scholars, and experts.
During the sectional sessions, participants discussed a range of current topics such as:
The experience of collaboration among state, public, and religious organizations in working with military personnel in the zone of the special military operation, veterans, and their families.
Patriotism as a social value for individuals and society.
Preserving civic identity and traditional values amid global challenges.
A special guest, member of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia – Islamic World,” Libyan public and political figure, and ambassador Abdullah Emhemed Almaghrawi, presented on “Values and Religious Traditions in the Face of Global Challenges.” He emphasized that “despite differences among religions and cultures, they are united in the foundational values of justice, compassion, tolerance, and human solidarity.” Almaghrawi also met with Bolgar Islamic Academy Rector Farhat Khusnutdinov during his visit.
On September 24, Almaghrawi held a working meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia – Islamic World” Marat Gatin, discussing the intensification of cooperation on the Libyan track, including educational and cultural projects. Almaghrawi expressed gratitude for the invitation and anticipates successful collaboration within the Group.
