Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and African countries and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, expects that the Russian diplomatic mission in Libya will start working soon.
"I think it will soon [start working]. A delegation went and looked at the conditions on the spot, which can be used, so I hope that soon," Bogdanov told reporters on Friday, responding to a relevant question by TASS.
Earlier, Libyan Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Murad Ahmim met with the Russian delegation to discuss the measures needed to open a Russian embassy in Tripoli.
