Dubai authorities are now attracting dog handlers and dogs to help fight the coronavirus at the airport, Travel and Leisure reports.

The task of dogs is to literally sniff out passengers who are sick with the coronavirus. During researches, the accuracy of odor was 92 percent.

Dogs' sense of smell is many times sharper than that of humans, so it is often used to search for bombs or drugs.

Training dogs to detect the coronavirus is serious and long-term. This requires a laboratory, special equipment, and the sweat of sick people.

Dubai airport was the first to use dogs to fight the coronavirus. They will work remotely, without coming into contact with people.

Dubai opened to tourists in July. Travelers are required to provide a certificate of a negative result on COVID-19, received no earlier than 96 hours before the trip.
