Explosion in a school in Kabul

The Afghan government, formed by representatives of the radical Taliban movement (banned in the Russian Federation), confirmed the death of religious leader Rahimullah Haqqani in an explosion in a school in Kabul on Thursday. Deputy Taliban spokesman Bilal Karimi said this on Twitter.

 

"It is with deep sorrow to know that Afghanistan's prominent religious figure Rahimullah Haqqani was killed in a ruthless enemy attack," Karimi wrote.

 

Earlier, it was reported that there was an explosion at a school in Kabul, which injured several people, including the school principal. According to Afghanistan's Aśvaka news agency, the incident took place at a private educational institution owned by Haqqani and was caused by a suicide bomber.

 

Information about other victims and their number is not yet available.
