The Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation have signed a memorandum of cooperation, Khovar state news agency reported on Wednesday.
The document was signed during a working visit of chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan Maliksho Nematzoda to the Russian Federation.
According to Khovar, Nematzoda met with the chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia Mikhail Shmakov and discussed the prospects of cooperation between the parties.
Also within the framework of his working visit, Nematzoda had a working meeting with General Secretary of the General Confederation of Trade Unions Vladimir Shcherbakov in Moscow.
During the meeting, they discussed the current situation and prospects for bilateral cooperation, the agency reported.
According to the agency, Nematzoda was awarded a Silver Badge of the 30th anniversary of the General Confederation of Trade Unions for his contribution to the development of the trade union movement in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
