Large-scale counterterrorism exercises will be conducted in Tajikistan, marking the final phase of the "Commonwealth-Anti-Terror 2025" drills for competent authorities of CIS member states, held under the auspices of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center.
For the first time in 2025, the concluding stage will be integrated with the final phase of the CSTO peacekeeping forces' "Indestructible Brotherhood 2025" exercises.
According to the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center's press service, during the second phase of "Commonwealth-Anti-Terror 2025," special units of Tajikistan's State Committee for National Security will conduct operations to rescue hostages and neutralize terrorists aboard a captured civilian aircraft and within an administrative building.
Following the counterterrorism drills, Tajik security forces will join CSTO peacekeeping contingents in "Indestructible Brotherhood 2025" for a special operation to block and eliminate large illegal armed terrorist formations.
The initial phase of "Commonwealth-Anti-Terror 2025," held October 7-9 with participation from seven CIS states, focused on identifying and detaining simulated terrorist groups planning attacks on critical infrastructure and public gathering places.
