Air Arabia has launched its inaugural flight from Yekaterinburg to Ras Al Khaimah, the northernmost emirate of the UAE, carrying over 170 passengers. The Airbus A320 departed Koltsovo Airport on the night of October 28, according to the airport's press service.
The airline will operate weekly flights to the new destination every Tuesday as part of the autumn-winter schedule that took effect last weekend. In addition to the Ras Al Khaimah route, Air Arabia continues its daily services from Yekaterinburg to Sharjah.
The upcoming winter season will see several new destinations from Koltsovo Airport, including Abakan, Murmansk, Krasnodar, and the Vietnamese coastal cities of Nha Trang and Phu Quoc. A notable feature of the 2025/2026 winter schedule will be the introduction of wide-body aircraft such as the Airbus A330-200/300 and Boeing 777-200/300, capable of carrying up to 550 passengers.
The Airbus A320 used for the Ras Al Khaimah route has a maximum capacity of 180 seats. Ras Al Khaimah, bordering Oman and washed by the Persian Gulf, is known for being home to the UAE's highest peak, Jebel Jais, and features a climate characterized by hot summers and mild, sunny winters.
