Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko, speaking about possible contacts between Russia and Turkmenistan because of the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan, said that Moscow and Ashgabat have established a trusting dialogue on security, and the sides are in touch on the common threats.
"We also have a trusting dialogue with Turkmenistan in the security sphere, within the framework of which representatives of competent agencies exchange assessments of common threats and challenges," Rudenko said in an interview with RIA Novosti, responding to a question about whether contacts, in particular with Turkmenistan, are ongoing against the background of the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan.
