The number of Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip since October 28 has reached 104, according to the Palestinian enclave's Health Ministry.
The ministry reported that among the casualties are 46 children and 20 women, with 253 others injured.
WAFA news agency, citing medical sources, stated that an Israeli strike on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza killed a journalist from a Palestinian newspaper. The agency also reported that Israeli airstrikes destroyed an entire residential block in the Shati camp west of Gaza City, resulting in numerous casualties.
The escalation followed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's order on October 28 for intensive strikes against Gaza. The decision came after Israel claimed Hamas supporters allegedly violated the ceasefire by firing on Israeli troops in the Rafah area. The Israeli military subsequently attacked multiple targets in the enclave, while Hamas denied involvement in the Rafah incident and reaffirmed its commitment to the ceasefire agreement.
