Gaza Estimates $38 Billion in Damage from Recent War

The direct damage to the Gaza Strip from military actions since October 2023 has been estimated at no less than $38 billion, according to preliminary data released by the enclave's authorities via their official Telegram channel.

 

The report details extensive destruction across the region, including:

 

137 educational institutions, 823 mosques and 3 churches, 206 sites of cultural or historical significance, over 161,000 residential units.


Additionally, more than 160 medical facilities were struck, and significant damage was inflicted on power substations, water and sewage networks, and transportation infrastructure throughout the enclave.

 

On January 20, Gaza’s Ministry of Health reported that the escalation in violence had killed 47,035 Palestinians  and injured over 111,000.
