On September 10, following the official closing of the 39th International Islamic Unity Conference, the delegation of the Group of Strategic Vision (GSV) “Russia – Islamic World” met with Dr. Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and a member of the Group of Strategic Vision.
Farit Mukhametshin, speaking on behalf of the Chairman of the GSV “Russia – Islamic World” Rustam Minnikhanov, congratulated Dr. Shahriari on the 1500th anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s birth celebrated these days in Iran, as well as on the successful conclusion of the International Conference.
He expressed gratitude to the Secretary General for the invitation to the conference, which enriched the understanding of the Forum’s activities and expanded the Group’s contacts with clergy, religious, and public organizations from various countries.
Dr. Shahriari, in turn, thanked the delegation of the GSV “Russia – Islamic World” for its active participation in the conference events and reported that during the week, over 450 lectures and more than 200 reports and recommendations were submitted to the Forum and presented both at the conference and other related events. All the materials will be processed and published on the Forum’s website in Persian, Arabic and English.
They agreed to continue collaboration both within the framework of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia – Islamic World” and through the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
