Group of Strategic Vision "Russia-Islamic World" will award the special prize "For Dialogue in the Islamic World"

Within the XV Kazan international festival of Muslim cinema the Group of strategic vision "Russia-Islamic world" will hand the special award "For Dialogue in the Islamic World". Its prize fund will be RUB 300,000. In 2019 the award will be presented for the third time.

 


At opening of a film festival which will take place on April 24 the vice-chairman of GSV "Russia-Islamic World" Farit Mubarakshevich Mukhametshin will take part in Theatre of G. Kamal.

 


The executive director of the Fund of strategic dialogue and partnership with the Islamic world, the doctor of political sciences, Elmira Sadykova was a part of jury at the film festival.

 

The winner of a special award of the Group of strategic vision "Russia-Islamic world" will become known on April 30 at the Closing ceremony of the Festival.

 

Kazan international festival of Muslim cinema has been held in the capital of Tatarstan under the motto "Through Dialogue of Cultures to the Culture of Dialogue" since 2005.

 

Founders of the festival are the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, city administration of Kazan, Council of muftis of Russia. The festival is held under patronage of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.

 

This year the film forum will take place from April 24 to April 30.

 

In the program of the festival there were selected the best movies of domestic and world cinema calling for kindness, peace and justice despite the confession of the author.

 

In total more than 400 movies from 44 countries of the world were submitted to participate in the program of the Kazan Film Festival this year, they are from Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Armenia, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Great Britain, Germany, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Yemen, Israel, Kazakhstan, Qatar, China, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Macedonia, Morocco, Mozambique (East Africa), Norway, Nepal, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Serbia, Syria, Sudan, USA, Tajikistan, Taiwan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, France, Croatia, South Africa, South Korea and Japan.
