The Republic of Guinea is highly satisfied with its military cooperation with Russia and intends to deepen these ties, Guinean Ambassador to Moscow Nyankoi Aba told TASS.
“Guinea-Russia relations are excellent. As I’ve said before, this applies to politics, culture, military cooperation—across all areas,” the diplomat said. He emphasized that the Guinean Embassy is working actively to further strengthen cooperation with its Russian partner.
Moscow and Conakry signed an agreement on military-technical cooperation in 2001 and another agreement on military cooperation in 2018. Since the Soviet era, the Guinean armed forces have operated Russian-made tanks, aircraft, and military vessels. Russian companies continue to assist with the repair and modernization of Guinea’s military equipment.
