About 400 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip as a result of repeated Israeli violations of the ceasefire that took effect on October 10, 2025, according to Ghazi Hamad, a member of the group’s political bureau.
Speaking to Qatar-based broadcaster Al Jazeera, Hamad said that the vast majority of those killed — more than 95 percent — were civilians. He added that Gaza authorities have documented roughly 813 alleged breaches of the truce by Israeli forces.
Hamad urged mediators involved in the negotiations to intervene, warning that Israel’s actions pose a serious risk to the continued implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
The latest escalation in the Middle East began on October 7, 2023. Israel launched a large-scale military campaign in Gaza, aimed at dismantling Hamas’s military and political infrastructure and securing the release of captives.
