The leaders of the cabinets of ministers of all five countries - members of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) will take part in a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIC) to be held on February 2-3 in Almaty, the press service of the foreign ministry of Kazakhstan reported on Monday.
"On February 2-3, 2023, the city of Almaty will host the next meeting of the EIC and the international forum on digitalization "Digital Almaty: Digital Partnership in a New Reality." The event will be attended by the heads of the governments of Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Russia and the chairman of the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission," the statement reads.
According to the department, representatives of the EEU observer states, the CIS secretary-general, heads of the Eurasian Development Bank and the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development are also invited to the meeting.
"The agenda of the EIC meeting, which will be traditionally held in a closed and extended format, covers a wide range of issues of trade and economic cooperation, technical regulation, an integrated information system of the EEU, and other relevant topics. On February 3, prime ministers of the EEU countries will take part in the plenary session of the annual forum "Digital Almaty". Traditionally, eminent political and public figures, heads of big digital companies, IT-business leaders and experts in digital industry are expected to participate in the forum," the ministry commented.
In addition, as part of the forum the international exhibition of thematic projects and the Digital Almaty Awards ceremony will be held.
