More than 400 participants from 43 countries of the world will take part in work of the International religious conference "Islam — the Message of Favor and Peace" which has opened in Moscow at President-Hotel on March, 28 and will come to the end in Grozny on March 30.
Among conferees there are famous religious figures and theologians, including the secretary general of the World Islamic League Mohammed Bin Adbul-Karim of Al-Iza, the mufti of Egypt Shavki Ibrahim Alam, the mufti of Jerusalem Mahomed Ahmad Hussein, the Supreme sharia judge of Palestine Mahmoud Habbash. Dignitaries of the Group of Strategic Vision "Russia – Islamic World” participated in the event, they were an academician, a research supervisor of Institute of oriental studies of RAS Vitaly Naumkin, public and political figure of Lebanon Wasim Kaladzhiya, mufti of North Ossetia Hadzhimurat Gatsalov, Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Feofan, and mufti of Tatarstan Kamil Samigullin.
After the Opening Ceremony of the conference three meetings took place: "Bases of peaceful co-existence in Islam", "Muslims of Russia and society of the world", "Terrorism and extremism", and also there was a round table "Activity of the center of information and Russian-Arab research".
The prospects of economic interaction of Russia and the Muslim states became the main subject of discussion at the meeting. Also the issues connected with development of counteraction measures to the accruing threats to safety with a reference to the traditional spiritual values of Islam and other world religions were raised.
The greetings to a forum was sent by chairmen of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, and the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, and also by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Chechnya Muslim Huchiyev read a greeting of the Head of the Republic of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov to the participants of an Islamic conference that stated that "The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin repeatedly emphasized that our country was always the most consecutive, faithful and firm defender of Islam. Incitement of the interreligious conflicts was the most dangerous threat in the modern world. Terrorism hadn’t ever had and couldn’t have any faith and nationality. Recent tragic events in New Zealand, that inhuman act, where dozens of people died as a result of it, was a miserable proof of it", - said the welcome message of the Leader of Chechnya.
In the address the Ambassador-at-large of the MFA of Russia Konstantin Shuvalov emphasized that this significant meeting could be considered as the beginning of those activities in Russia which would be dated for the 50 anniversary of OIC. Anniversary of the organization will be celebrated in September.
He also read the welcome message of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov in which symbolical character of the choice of the meeting place was accented: "Russia always developed as the multinational and multi-religious state. Today the Russian Muslims make a large contribution to ensuring social and economic raising of the country, fruitfully work in all areas from public administration to science and culture". In the message it was emphasized that results of the conference would build up the international humanitarian cooperation, and would allow strengthen relations of the Russian Muslims with brothers in faith abroad, in general, and enrich dialogue of Russia with the Islamic world.
The academician, the research supervisor of Institute of oriental studies of RAS, the member of the group of strategic vision "Russia is the Islamic world" Vitaly Naumkin said: "It was pleasant that the conference was organized by our brothers and compatriots from the Chechen Republic who had proved the devotion to high ideals of Islam, peace and tolerance, to the kindness. As it had been already told there - by fight, dedicated fight against the terrorism and extremism which were alien trends of Islam, fight against all those who assumed self-constituted the right to act on behalf of this religion".
The mufti of Tatarstan Kamil Samigullin participated in the third part of the conference called “Terrorism and Extremism”, having made the report "The violence phenomenon name of the religion". He paid attention that "both the Koran, and Sunnah by the Prophet order to treat favorably everyone despite peoples’ nationality, language, skin color and confession".
Remembering recent terrorist attack in New Zealand, he noted that the western journalists, describing those events, did not use the word "terrorists" and "extremists", and instead used soft terms such as "act of violence ", "crime", "hooliganism". Kamil Samigullin expressed confidence that in the 21st century it is insufficiently to just act correct fighting against terrorists, and it was necessary to pay close attention to resources of media and social networks.
On March, 29 conferees will arrive in Grozny. During the visit guests will make a Friday Jumah in the Central mosque the "Heart of Chechnya" of Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov, and will visit a tomb of the First President of the Chechen Republic, the Hero of Russia Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov in the patrimonial settlement of Tsentaroy.
On March, 30 in Grozny City hotel the meeting on the subject "Muslims and Public Relation" will take place, and after summing up a conference the resolution will be adopted.
It is important to note that in May 2017 a meeting of the Group of Strategic Vision "Russia - Islamic world" under the chairmanship of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, heading the group, also took place in Grozny. "Events of the last years clearly show a crisis of a modern system of international relations. Thus, creation of conditions for constructive dialogue and effective cooperation becomes a necessity. One of the platforms for such interaction is the Group of Strategic Vision "Russia-Islamic world" which is carrying out a wide range of the activities directed to further strengthening of the relations between Russia and Muslim countries, and implementation of strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and the Islamic world. Combining of capacities of Russia and the Islamic world is capable to become a powerful factor of improvement of an international situation" - it was said in the resolution of the Group adopted results of the meeting in the Chechen Republic.
The Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Chechen Republic with assistance of Regional public fund of a name of the hero of Russia Akhmat Kadyrov, Fund of support of Islamic culture, science and education and Institute of oriental studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences acted as organizers of the international religious conference "Islam - Message of Favor and Peace" which opened on March, 28 in Moscow in President-Hotel the World Islamic League (WIL).
