Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on June 19 during his official visit to Russia. This was announced by Indonesian Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, according to the news outlet Tempo.
“President [Vladimir] Putin will receive President [Prabowo] Subianto in Russia and hold a bilateral meeting with him on June 19, 2025,” Wijaya stated.
According to the secretary, the visit holds significant strategic value, as it aims to strengthen comprehensive cooperation and partnership between Indonesia and Russia. “It reflects Indonesia’s growing recognition on the global stage, especially amid increasing international challenges,” he added.
On May 19, Indonesian Minister of Culture Fadli Zon confirmed to TASS that President Subianto will visit Russia to attend the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will take place from June 18 to 21.
