Tehran is committed to promoting peace and stability in the Middle East. This statement was made by Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, on Tuesday.
"Our dedication to peace and stability in the region remains unwavering," he stated during an open debate at the UN Security Council on the Middle East. The diplomat firmly believes that it is the United States that is exacerbating the conflict by openly supporting Israel, and he emphasized that the price of this support is the lives of innocent Palestinians.
Previously, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that the United States was prepared to take swift and resolute action against Iran if deemed necessary. Additionally, John Kirby, the Coordinator for Strategic Communications in the National Security Council at the White House, asserted that the US administration holds the belief that Iran is providing support to groups responsible for attacks on military bases in Syria and Iraq, where US military personnel are stationed.
