Iran plans to involve representatives of the Russian Federation in youth programs and events to be held in the country. Vahid Yaminpour, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Secretary of the Supreme Youth Council, told TASS on Monday on the sidelines of the Kazan Global Youth Summit.
"Recently, exactly in the last six months, we have been involved in some of the events that have been held in Russia. And in the future we are also trying <...> to create such programs in order to invite Russians to come to Iran too and participate in our programs," Yaminpour said, assessing the interaction between the Russian and Iranian sides in the youth sphere.
He noted that Russia and Iran have been working together on cooperation in this field for several years. "If there were any events or any programs about youth support, we have always supported it," Yaminpour said.
The Kazan Global Youth Summit takes place August 27-30. It is attended by youth and sport ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries, ambassadors general of OIC countries, leaders of youth organizations, representatives of international organizations dealing with youth policy, opinion leaders, young entrepreneurs and representatives of scientific community. The summit is held in the framework of the international program "Kazan - OIC Youth Capital 2022".
