Iran Expects Surge in Russian Tourists in 2026

09 January

Iran is optimistic about a significant increase in Russian visitors in 2026 and plans to actively promote tourism ties between Tehran and Moscow, Iran’s ambassador to Russia said in a year-end interview.

"We will definitely make efforts to develop tourism connections between our two nations,” Kazem Jalali told TASS. “Given the current level of interaction in this area, we are working hard and hope to see a substantial rise in the number of Russian tourists coming to Iran.”
