Iran Justifies Strike on Israel as Self-Defense Right

15 April

Iran's retaliatory strike on Israel was justified as its inherent right to self-defense, affirmed Iran's Permanent Representative to the UN Amir Saeid Iravani, during a UN Security Council meeting convened on Sunday in response to Tehran's attack on Israeli military targets.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran conducted a series of military strikes on Israeli military facilities... These strikes were undertaken exclusively within the framework of Iran's inherent right to self-defense as enshrined in the United Nations Charter and recognized by international law," stated the diplomat.

Iravani emphasized, "The actions were deemed necessary and proportionate. They were precision strikes aimed solely at military objectives, executed with utmost care to minimize the risk of further escalation and to prevent civilian casualties."
