Iran Ready to Guarantee Peaceful Nuclear Program in Exchange for Sanctions Relief

15 January

Tehran is prepared to offer a concession by guaranteeing that its nuclear program will always remain peaceful in exchange for the lifting of sanctions, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.

In an interview with Fox News, Araghchi was asked what concessions Iran is willing to make to return to the negotiating table while Israel and the United States are threatening it with a military strike.

“We can guarantee the peaceful nature of our nuclear program, that it will always be peaceful. In return, we expect the sanctions to be lifted,” he said.
