Iran Sees Strengthening Its Defense Capabilities as a Logical Response to Israeli Threats

28 February

Iran is bolstering its national defense capabilities in response to ongoing military threats from Israel, calling such measures logical. This was stated by Esmail Baghaei, the official spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry.

“The foreign minister and other officials from the Zionist regime (referring to Israel — TASS) constantly threaten Iran with military action, while at the same time, the West accuses Iran of strengthening its defense capabilities. This is absurd and illogical,” Baghaei wrote on X.

According to him, Tehran’s efforts to enhance the country’s defense potential are a natural and reasonable step.

On February 26, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar told the European publication Politico that a “military option” involving other countries might be necessary to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

Earlier, on February 10, Donald Trump suggested that stopping Iran’s nuclear weapons program could be achieved either “with bombs” or through a new agreement. He added that he would prefer to strike a deal with Iran rather than resort to “bombing.”
