Iran to Establish First Nuclear Education and Research Center

06 May

Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI) announced plans to inaugurate the country's inaugural nuclear training and research facility in Isfahan within the next two months. Mohammad Eslami, the head of AEOI, unveiled this initiative during an international nuclear conference held in Isfahan.

"We are set to launch the first-ever international training hub for nuclear science and technology in Isfahan within the coming two months," reported IRNA, citing Eslami's statement. Isfahan, which shares its name with the province where the facility will be situated, is already home to the Natanz nuclear research center, a crucial component of Iran's nuclear program, housing uranium enrichment centrifuges.

The announcement coincided with the commencement of an international nuclear conference in Isfahan on May 6, attended by Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Eslami, speaking at the conference, expressed Iran's willingness to share peaceful nuclear technology with other nations, aiming to foster a new framework of scientific collaboration and exchange.
